Going on a trip to Washington, and I have a few questions.?

Question

1) Even though I am sure you can't but can you text on an airplane? I have never been on one at all..well no when i was 5.

2) How long does walgreens take to get my passport? And what do I all need to get a passport? [[whale watching requires passport since of Canada]]

3)Verizon gets service up there? Well just tell me in most places or not.. I am going with family and not sure where.. i know its where its like a cove but seems like a lake but still part of the ocean [ sorry if that confuses you]]. Also what would be the number to dial to update my towers?

No I don't think you can text on the airplane.  The airplane requires you to turn off cell phones during the ride because of interference with the navigational stuff.  Text your friends or get lost??
