I'm going on a Working Holiday to Canada for 6 months. I want to stay after my Working Holiday has finished. Can I apply for a Student Visa or Work Visa while I'm there on my holiday? I would like not to have to come back to the US once my Working Holiday has finished, is there some way I can do that? If I do end up having to come back to the US can it be for a short time and then I can go back up under a Student or Work Visa? My whole plan is to eventually live in Canada as a permanent resident. I want to live up there for a while before I apply for that though. I'm 21 years old and just about to get my AA Degree. I live in the US.

  1. Do you already have your working holiday visa?

You will be in a better position to apply for a resident's visa if you are up front about what you want.

    PS What's an AA degree?
