  1. Have fun, Eat wonderful food, play silly games for "ships on a stick", people watch, visit exciting ports, sleep in fantastic beds, watch movies on deck while sailing under the stars, meet new people. The list is endless and only up to you. Have a fantastic voyage

  2. If you haven't already done it, after the muster go explore the ship. These ships are quite large and not that easy to get around in so spend this early time to acquaint yourself with the ship. (I was on the Triumph last June) You will want to start with the three decks in the middle of the ship (Lobby, Atlantic and Promenade). The lobby is where you will find the purser and the shore excursion desks. The purser is like the front desk at a hotel and is where you go (or call) to solve issues that may arise while on your cruise. At the front of the ship on the lobby deck is the main entrance to the Rome lounge where the shows and many of the talks and activities will be. At the center of the deck is the main lobby where the glass elevators are as well as a piano bar. On the Atlantic deck are the two restaurants (where you will eat dinner) the Internet Cafe (they have computers for you to use) and a cigar bar. The restaurants are in the middle and the back of the ship. It is a little tricky getting to the one in the back of the ship (as well as the internet cafe) as you will have to go up a deck, go to the back of the ship, then down one deck. The inside hallways do not run the entire length of the ship on this deck. The ships photo shop is located on this deck as well. Now comes the promenade deck. This is where the casino, shops and bars are all located. This is a good area to check out to see what places you will want to visit during the next seven days. From here skip up to the Lido deck (the other decks are just rooms). In the rear of the ship are the pools, outdoor stage, hot tubs and the various other ship restaurants. These are the round the clock areas for food and drink. The buffet is located here and will surely be operating at this time. This is a good time to familiarize yourself with the location of the other restaurants and outside bars. Be sure to go all the way to the back of the boat. There is a pool there as well as a few hot tubs. It will take awhile for people to realize these are here so for the first few days there will not be a ton of people here. The main pool area of the lido deck is where most of the outside activities occur. They will have live music, contests and just all around general fun here. It will be loud and the booze flows freely so if you want quite go to the back of the ship. The next deck up (Panorama) has areas at the back of the ship for deck chairs and lounging around. You can be close to the music or in the back away from it, up to you. The next deck up is the spa deck. In the front of the ship is the spa and gym. If the spa is of interest to you stop at this time to see what you might like to do and set up an appointment. The good time fill up fast. However, you can save a lot of money by going on days when the boat is docked. They will run specials at that time. If you ask they will probably tell you what is coming up. In the middle of the ship is the exercise track if that is of interest to you. Finally go up to the sun deck and check out mini golf. Its free and a simple course but its worth doing when you have some free time and very few people take advantage of it. There are also small basket ball courts and a "driving range in the back of the ship. (I don't quite remember which deck) These are the things you should do when you first get on the ship and after the muster. Also remember to read the Carnival Capers (The ship newsletter) every day as it will let you know everything that is happening that day. Pick and chose what you would like to do then go and do it. Don't miss out because you were to afraid to try something different. Remember the odds are very small that you will ever see any of these people ever again so enjoy yourself and have a great time. One final note for later on in the cruise, go to the excursion and shopping talks (if only for the free stuff they give away). They will give you a lot of information on things to avoid as well as things to do. Get to know the shopping co-coordinator (if you like shopping) and the cruise director. Their sole purpose for being there is to make your cruise more pleasurable so don't be hesitant about asking questions. Hope this all helps and enjoy yourself I'm sure you will have a fabulous time.

  3. Your vacation so you do whatever you want. Even once in port you are free do what you want. Just be back on ship when it departs. Each day you will recieve a newsletter letting you know what port you will be in and everything going on the ship.

    So Relax & Enjoy.

  4. Put your life vest back in your cabin and start enjoying everything on the ship.   Go check out all of it's features and start to find your way around the ship. The pools and hot tubs will be open and so will the gym.  The music for the sail away party will be playing so you can dance if you want.  The bars will be open and the Casino will open once the  ship is about an hour from port. The souvenir shops will also open shortly after you set sail.

If you plan to use the pools and hot tub or gym be sure to take clothes for that in your carry on bag because the rest of your bags will not arrive at your cabin for hours, maybe by  about 6:00 PM.

  5. i leave on the 14th too, but on the ecstacy. After the talk, I would suggest to figure out your way around the ship, that way you can get your way around the boat without a map later on. If you plan on swimming make sure you bring your swim suit in a carryon because your other bags will not arrive to you right away. Have a great trip*

  6. Anything you want. Go swimming or hot tubing, explore the ship( this is a must do), Get a good book, read the daily paper they give you each day to see what is going on, and eat. Trust me, you will find so much to do either on sea days or in port. Enjoy every minute of the cruise.
