  1. In september it can be still warm under the sun I suggest minimum a 10 factor.

    Happy Feet

  2. Hi,

I am the same as you and quite tanned I also went in September and I burnt so I would still be careful if I was you, its better to be safe than sorry, although by the second week I was using oil!!!

  3. Hi,

I have been to Dominican quite a few times and its very hot.

I am from ireland, I tan quite well but I couldnt go under a 6 in my sun cream- just soo warm.....

September maybe not quite as warm though

    hope it helps

  4. Always start out with 30 the first day. And then lower your SPF. We always bring 30, 15 and 8. Trust me you will burn with out sunscreen. It doesn't look good with peeling skin. You will burn in places you never thought the sun would get to. Your ear lopes, the tops of your feet, under your eyes, nose, forehead and your head.

My husband wears sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and under an umbrella and he still burns.

Wear a hat and sunglasses and apply after every swim.

There are some sunscreen that's waterproof/sweatproof.

    Coppertone Sport has that type.

The sun is very strong in the Caribbean, use caution and sunscreen. Just walking around the sun gets you.

    Have fun and enjoy)

  5. My hubby is olive skinned (Greek), he needed spf30 for the first day  then switched to spf15.  But we went for a few visits to a salon for a base tan a week before we left.  We were there in December last year.   But neither of us burnt at all.
