Question:

Going out in Bristol tonight?

I have just moved to Bristol (Gloucester Rd) and a friend is coming to visit. We want to go to a nice bar or pub where we can get merry, but we aren't going to be packed into sardines or deafened by loud music.

Somewhere on the affordable side of swanky would be nice (e.g., nice and upmarket but not black tie, £5-a-pint), and what do we expect in the way of dress codes?

I've been told the places to be are Gloucester Rd, Park St, Whiteladies Rd or city centre. Your thoughts?

Thanks!

  1. I would head for ther city centre, or Clifton village- there are loads of great pubs. Shame you're not eating cos there are loads of good restaurants too.
