  1. Pasta is always a good choice, but don't forget you always need some protein in your diet. You can always opt for a pasta with a tomato sauce(low in fat) and/or olive oil and fish. Light dish with all of the necessary ingredients and have some grilled vegetables. The more bite there is, the more fiber you ingest. Remember raw food is good for you and try to not overthink, try and focus on enjoying the evening with your family.

  2. Get a grilled chicken salad, see what all that is baked and not fried there. Just because you order pasta you don't have to eat all of it, LOL  I'm not sure of anyone who does.

  3. ask for chef's suggestion on a linguinni ( simple -filling and the chefs love it when you ask for their recommend's !!  )

  4. I would stick with something less oily and less spicy, until your body becomes accustomed to having normal portions of food. That being said, olive oil is actually a very healthy fat to ingest. Fortunately, Italians love to prepare food with lots of olive oil. They also love to prepare food with lots of garlic, another very healthy food.

One of my favorite dishes is also very simple: spaghetti with olive oil, garlic and fresh basil. If it isn't on the menu, ask for it. I have never been refused when I ask for it.

  5. Spinach strombolli or vegetable lasagne. They have some haelthy ingredients. You could use the calories and probably you need some  fat now.

  6. Girl, good luck with your health. You can't go wrong with pasta!

  7. pasta e fagoli and salad is healthy or angel hair pasta with grilled veggies and your choice of sauce.

  8. A veal dish would be good ... maybe marsala or piccata.  A side of pasta would be enough for you ... and a green salad......   Take care and stay healthy!

  9. Look for a legume and/or cereal based soup, like Zuppa Toscana, Zuppa Contadina, Tricolore di Farro, Zuppa Rusticona. Look if they can do them the proper Italian way simple recipe, extra-virgin olive oil); savories, multicolored, make you feel replete with a very nourishing but no fat dish.

Also a panacea (especially lentils) if you're facing iron or calcium deficiency issues.

  10. Hello :)

Have the chicken parm(with a side salad) that you mentioned, the portions are usually too big for me, so I eat half and take the other half home for my next meal.

My other suggestion would be Pasta e Fagioli and a side salad :)

Best of luck to you **hugs**

  11. have some callimari, squid is not fattening...and for dessert get yourself a canolli

you deserve to treat yourself to something tasty since you care so much about what others think of you..you should start careing for yourself.

  12. if your body is just getting used to processing fat again, you should stay away from fried food because it can really upset your stomach. The same goes for fatty meat- you'll have to reintroduce those foods slowly because your digestive system is probably not completely healthy at this point. There's no point in ordering something if it's going to make you feel bad afterwards.

Carbs and starches are very neutral and won't upset your stomach. If you like spicy food, try pasta arabiata, or you can always go with traditional marinara with cheese. It's tasty and healthy.

Cheese has fat in it, but it also has calcium. You need more calcium than the average person because your bones have probably suffered some damage, so eat up.

Good luck on your road to recovery.

  13. Ok now listen up and listen good. Here is a little information that might help you:

Get to the library and look at some pictures of the inmates in the n**i death camps from WW II:  as they were being slowly starved to death.

Now their rations per day was around 1600 calories: That is all the n***s gave them to eat.

Now you think real long and real hard while looking at those pictures if you want to die like that,  because that is exactly what you are going to yourself girl.

Now that said,  my idea of a good meal at an Italian restaurant is a big plate of Spaghetti with meat sauce and salad plus garlic bread.

  14. Eat someting

  15. Get Lasagna and bread and a salad. You deserve to treat your self. Take care.
