Going outside! 60% scat t-storms?

Question

A few friends and I are going to an amusement park this monday the 21st, but the weather says its gonig to rain 60% scattered thunderstorms. Its 3 days away! I'm trying to decided if we should go at all, now that the odd against rain and t-storms are 40%!

So does 60% really mean its going to rain? Should I go anyways? CAn the weather change in 3 days? Or is the prediction a good chance of staying the same now that its getting closer to the date?

I am actually in the same boat as you.  I live in Virginia and i have a cousin coming down from Iowa tomorrow and we are going to an amusement park on sunday but they are calling for a 40 % chance of rain.  I think you should go.  60% is good odds, but even if you do get rain, it shouldn't rain the whole day.  But then again, i don't know where you live. The forecast 3 days out is usually pretty accurate.  Good luck.

This means there is a good chance of rain, but this forecast can change a lot in 3 days. A question to me would be wether there is a system of heavy rain coming through, or is it just scattered thunderstorms?

kind of . its up to you if you want to go or not . the weather changes everyday so you got to ( just play it by ear ) .

I would stay tuned to the weather the next 3 days because the weather can change a lot in that time period. If there's a 60% chance now, then there's probably a good chance that the chance will keep going up because that's what usually happens around here. I would pay attention to see if it will likely rain for most of the day or part of the day. If it is expected to rain just part of the day, then i would still go and have a plan ready so that if it does rain, you'll have somewhere to go. If it is expected to last most of the day, then i would reschedule it if possible.

60% chance is a good chance of Rain. So yeah it probably will rain, but have a backup plan in case it does. have a ride to take you guys somewhere else.
