  1. Ciao! I have spent many vacations in Italy. Italy is one of the best vacation spots in the world. Rome is beautiful but very busy. It will be hot when you are their so make sure to pack some shorts. Make sure to take some capris since you will not be able to go into some churches with your knee showing and it will be too hot for jeans in the middle of the day. Leave extra room in your luggage to bring items home with you. I did't the first time I was their and I spent a lot of money having to ship stuff back to the USA.  :0) I have spent a lot of time in Rome, Venice, Sorrento, Milan, Florence, and the lakes of northern Italy. Please let me know if you have any questions.

  2. The Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. The Colleseum. Travel light to bring back souveniors.

  3. Pack light, leave room for stuff to bring home.

I just spent a month in Italy. All the touristy stuff is wonderful-- the colleseum, the vatican. The vatican and the sistine chapel are a must. walk around back alleys with cobble stone streets to see all the local places. Eat at local joints to get the quality food. Water is super expensive, but the water is so pure in Italy you can drink from the fountains. Another must see is the ruins by the colleseum. Purely amazing. Also go to the spanish steps, at the foot of the spanish steps is terrific shopping.. Remember though-- the stores all close EARLY, so if you wish to shop you must do it early, and the eating is done later.
