okay =[ im in 6th grade,im not fat,fat..im just u know chunky..

for the 6th grade graduation..all the 6th graders are going swimming, alot of girls are insecure about their bodies in a swim suit, like me...i hate that the staff chose swimming for out party because of girls and their insecurities...i dont want to be in a swimsuit that shows all of my flaws,my stomach and my legs infront of the ENTIRE 6th grade. =[[

i would just get on a swimsuit and put on a long teeshirt but when i get in the water the teeshirt will get wet and form over my body and will show the shape of it that im ashamed of =[

i want to go their but i want to have fun not be sad seeing all the skinny pretty girls walk around the swiming pool while im sitting there in a long baggy teeshirt..

do u know where to get a swim suit that covers up legs and your stomach??

cuz if i cant find anythign ill just stay home =[

  1. u need to understand that not everyone looks like those skinny model girls. be proud of who you are, and don't worry about what other people think of u

    love urself

ps, i think that speedo wetsuit kinda things, i think that u can get the thiner kind, have sleeves, and shorts

  2. I would suggest wearing a 1 piece swimsuit. I would also suggest wearing a t-shirt, and and some nice shorts or even a pair of  capris would work.

  3. LIVE UR LIFE! thanx for the 2 points

  4. wear a 1 piece.

don't worry about it.  I knew plenty of chunky girls on the swim team from high school.  They didn't feel insecure in swimwear.  If you wear a dark colored tanksuit you won't feel so insecure.

  5. well wear a one peice and try not to consume so many calories the week of the party mabe you can slim down a bit

  6. Being insecure about your body is something I know about. I'm a guy but when I was your age I did not want to get caught dead in shorts. I was in my 20s before I got over it. We can often get very bad thoughts about what other people will think about us, but sometimes the biggest problem we have is just in our minds. Understand, I'm not trying to downplay your problem. Worrying about what other people thinks can cost us so much in life. I strongly encourage you to face your problems and insecurities head on. You need to learn not to worry too much about what others thinks. It might not be easy but it will be worth the effort. Giving up is the easy thing to do but it will cost you so much, it can keep you from enjoying your youth and your life. DO NOT stay home and miss the party no matter what. You sixth grade graduation party is something that you will only get one time in your life. Get you a swim suit and have a good time. It will take a little nerve for you to do it but DON'T miss out on the chance to have fun. Don't worry about people seeing your legs or body, just be confident, be yourself, and have the attitude that you are going to have a good time no matter what. You will do good. Good luck to you.

  7. Okay do NOT wear a t-shirt. They make people look fatter then they are, and don't wear a suit over your legs because you will look plain stupid. Those are only for racing. What you should do is wear a cute one piece or a tankini, which is like a bikini but covers your whole stomache and can be better then a one piece because what covers your stomache is loose and flared.

  8. This first one is a really cute tankini. It won't cover all of your stomach, but as long as you show confidence, no one will care!

This is another cute one that will cover more of your stomach.

This one will cover all of your tummy.

I thought this was cute, too.

These are some cute little board shorts. A bit expensive, though.

This one is cute and comes with shorts.

This has a bunch of swim wear on it.

Remember that you are a sixth grader!!! Have fun at the pool party and don't worry how you look!! You have to be comfortable with your body because if you're not, how will someone else be?

    GOOD LUCK!!!

    Hope you find something!

  9. Try getting a plain, black one piece bathing suit.  You'll be surprised how slimming black will be.

You could also try a tankini with boy shorts:

To cover up your legs, you can buy a sarong, and wrap it around your legs like in some of these pictures:

    http://www.yoursarong.com/shop/default.a...

You should be able to buy sarongs in the beach section of any large department store.   You have to take it off when you get inside the pool obviously, but they're great for lounging around next to the pool in.   I think they're very stylish.

And once you're submerged in the pool, people won't be able to see your body anyway.

    Hope that helps! Good luck!

Something like that would be good, it hides both the legs and stomach, a bit, but brings attention to the good parts of the body. If you're feeling that insecure, just wear the t shirt, you'r e only in sixth grade, you don't have to impress anyone!

  11. Find a one piece suit in a color that complements your eyes or hair color. You need to look for somethat complements you -- not something that hides you.

Wearing more (t-shirt, board shorts, sarong, suit with a skirt, etc.) is like wearing a billboard that says, "I'M TRYING TO HIDE MY BODY." The more you wear, the more attention you will draw to yourself. People will ask themselves, "Why is she wearing....?" If you wear a one-piece, no one will give it another thought.

Don't worry about what your classmates might think -- they'll be too busy worrying about their own insecurities. Even the skinny girls. You might think they have life all figured out, but they have their own problems.

Go have fun. Get involved in the activities/games. Sitting and sulking will get you nowhere.

  12. If you are acting insecure about your body, trying to cover it up with baggy t shirts, its just going to draw more attention to you. People notice confidence. Be confident in your body. So you don't have a perfect body, no one does! But obviously, some swimsuits make you look larger than you are so stay away from skimpy bikinis...Try looking through magazines like seventeen, they have articles on picking a swimsuit for your body type. Try a tankini, it covers most of your stomach but shows a little skin so its still cute! But don't stay home and miss out on what could have been alot of fun! You'll regret it one day!

  13. You shouldn't worry about it. It really doen't matter what you look like in a swimsuit when all you are going to swim, it's not a swimsuit beauty contest. It doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, it matters what is in the inside. If you are nice to everyone, maybe they won't notice. You can wear a hat or something that attracts attention to that and not the bathing suit.

    Hope it helps!!!!

  14. i wear rash guards for surfing like short sleeves and board shorts but you may not like the rash guard either because it sticks to u when you get wet but i buy mine a little bit big so u could do that

  15. well get a one piece at: bells outlet, jcpenny, kmart, walmart, and ect. It's a perfect time because it almost summer

  16. get a tankini top, they're very slimming. also, you could just don't go swimming, just hang out by the pool in shorts and a tee shirt with your buds
