Going the dentist. What should I do with tongue ring?

I have to go to the dentist soon and I'm worried about my dentist telling my mom that I have my tongue pierced. Obviously she doesn't know about it.

I would just take it out but I'm almost positive I have a cavity and if so I would have to leave it out for a while and I dont want it to close up

  1. gross i will never pierced my tongue. but i think u should take it off. nd right away when the dentist fix the cavity, go home nd put it on back.

  2. it shouldn't matter, just leave it in, he prolly won't tell as long as u don't mention it.

  3. i don't know if it's true but it makes sense..... piercings in your mouth causes harm to your teeth. Wears them down or somethin. But if you really want to keep it then you should be fine with just wearing it.....its not like hes going to go out and say "oh, btw did you know that your daughter has a tounge piercing?" He will assume that your mom already knows

  4. leave it in because it closes really fast.

  5. IF THE DENTIST SCOLDS YOU TELL HIM YOU HAVE A SHORT STEM YOU YOUR MOLARS WON'T CHIP.

  6. Just leave it in! He wont tell your parents... people have lives and don't really care what other people have in their tongues... unless its causing an infection or something... he wont tell your parents a thing.
