  1. Hola.  I live here in Cabo.  Taxis are extremely expensive, so it all depends what you want to do and where you want to go during your stay in Cabo.  Some of the resorts offer shuttles to the towns of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, as well as most of the tour groups will pick you up from your hotel/resort.   We also have an excellent bus system if you are willing to experience more interesting local way to travel.

Rentals are good if you plan to go and see the towns of Todos Santos or La Paz or Los Barrilles, but you truly don't need a rental in Cabo, depending on where you are staying.

Most people only take a taxi when they are leaving the clubs late at night.

Have a great time in Cabo!

  2. hey. ive been going to cabo every year for like 8 years in a row. we only rented a car once, teh first year we went. just get a cab or if the hotel you are staying at has a shuttle service to pick you up from the airport. thats what we always do. and theres usually always taxis near the hotel waiting to pick someone up. we stay at a nice hotel and theres always taxis or hotel shuttles. have fun!!! cabo is awesome!!!!! you should definetly go jet skiing while your down there, its a blast and ATVing is awesome too. scuba diving is also great down there. at the hotel we stay at a scuba guy comes and trains you in the pool and then you go in the water. its so much fun!!! have fun!!!

  3. Get a cab, but always ask first what the fare will be.

  4. I travel to the Baja every winter. I have done both, rental and cab.  If you do rent a car, be very careful!  There are some crazy drivers down there. In order to turn left across traffic, you must get into a right hand lane!  Very confusing.

Take a bus from the airport, way cheaper. The only reason I rented a car this past winter was to drive to Todos Santos ( a must see!) and over to San Jose and East Cape. Another must see. Otherwise, just out and about the clubs at night, a taxi is just fine!

    Enjoy Cabo!

  5. Went to Cabo 2 yrs ago and i rented a car with my buddy and went half on it! Was a small car,it went for 50 dlls  a day! If ur staying close to the city(walking distance) u dont need a car,the reason i got 1 is cause i was about 3-4 miles from town! Taxis are expensive their,u can get on the local buses which charge 65 cents each way,but late at night their aint no buses!
