I need some info about housing, car rental. Anything about the local scene. Any websites or info you can provide would be a great help.

  1. I lived there for two months last year. I used a website called www.cabohousingmarket.com to help find a short term apartment. I didn't rent a car while I was there so I can't help you there. Good luck in your search, housing prices have soared in that area in the last year. There are still deals to be had depending on what season you plan on moving down there.

  2. Are you looking to rent a car in Cabo or in the US and drive it in?

  3. Hola.  I live in Cabo and have been coming here for over 30 years.  I can help you.  First off, go online and check out the local newspaper gringogazette.  There are several rental agencies offering housing right now.  Car rental is easy, several very well known companies work from here - but seriously you don't need a car - everything is bus friendly and easy to access or walk.  Local scene, you can check out this website www.loscabosguide.com for some pretty up to date info on the nightclubs, restaurants, activities, things to do etc.

Also check out the craigslist for cabo.

There are half a dozen great websites that can give you so good info.  Try typing in Baja Insider, or all about cabo.com. or even cabo bob has lots of great little tips.  Cabovillas are more upscale rentals.

Don't forget your Visa is only good for 180 days!

Have a really great extended time!
