I'm going to Canada. But I live in the UK. I'm also a dual citizen with the US. But I want to see my boyfriend in Canada. The thing is, I met him over the internet. I know it's risky buisness, spare me the lecture.

I was wondering how that would look when I was talking to the Canadian Custom people in the Canadian airport? I know I should tell the truth. But wouldnt telling them that I met someone off the internet a little shady?

I'm 18 years old and he is 21. Please help!

  1. Dont tell them they dont need to know your business. What you gonna tell them next that you had cyber s*x as well. come on.

  2. Just tell you are visiting friends (which is true) and leave it at that. Do not elaborate. Do not volunteer anything more than what they ask.

If they stay silent and expect you to fill the gap - just stay quiet and wait for their next question They are trying to make you nervous.

I met my husband on the internet in 1999. We have been married for over 7 years now. We have one child who just turned 6 years old.

    Internet relationships CAN work.

  3. You will be asked where you are staying while in Canada----so be prepared to answer.  You can say that you are staying with "friends."  It is not a lie.  You may have to provide an address or area of town where it is located.  Just give the facts.  Don't  offer information----if they want more, trust me they will ask for it.  You are 18 so you have the right to travel abroad and do as you please as long as you are not breaking any laws.  It is not against the law to visit someone so relax!  Have fun.

  4. Bah, stupid Canadian customs! Here's the plan, if you have to talk to them, tell them you love ice hockey! It's all aboot the ice hockey!

  5. Tell them that you are a high class international escort and he has hired you to swim naked with him in a swimming pool full of yellow m&ms before taking on the whole montreal canadiens third line - is that better than lowering yourself to say that you met someone on the internet?

Get a grip, the internet is just another means of communication, of course people will meet on there and it is nothing to be ashamed of!

  6. Just tell them you're going on a vacation .  They'll ask you who you're staying with ... tell them.   Have his name , address and phone number ready ... They may call him to confirm your story ... but it's not a big deal these days to visit someone you met over the internet.

  7. >>>I know it's risky buisness, spare me the lecture.

yes it is. say your there to go to concert, a mad fan. I think you should ask God wheather or not to go, I think this is a bit mad. only 18? what about parents, why he can not come here
