Well I need to raise 2,500 dollars to pay for the complete trip. It's for school and I need some money-raising ideas. Any help?

  1. Hola María,

Visiting some friends in Munich I saw a very interesting system in a group of young friends there.  they did a list of all that staff they used to buy almost everyday, so they did a list (cookies, beers, cigars, sodas, chocolats, etc... the whole list!).  then they made shooping as a "wholeseller" (as example, 50 packs of chocolats, 20 six-packs of pepsi, etc) and they reselled to themselves in other price, so if a pepsi costs $0,45 they reselled in $0,75... so they made an important amount of money... they had big TV, sterio, some coachs, ping pong table...

I hope this can help.... now, besides this tip i would like to ask you about your trip, because I'm Tour Operator here in Costa Rica and if your school accept it, I would like to offer my services... maybe I can help to make the trip cheaper!

    Good luck with everything!

  2. First of all, there's a lot of study abroad scholarships out there, especially in your own university.  If you can't get one, do a raffle among family and friends.  A lot of time they'll just donate money to help you out and it really does!

  3. Host a pot luck dinner where everyone pays to come and eat.

  4. your school could host a car wash, bake sales.. you could also ask local businesses to see if they would donate something that you guys can turn around and auction.

  5. Costa Rica is Heaven on earth! It is amazing you are going to have lots of fun. Sell enchaladias at school.

  6. garage sale...
