Question:

Going to Cuba and need Input?

I am looking at a trip to Cuba in late June '08 and am ALL about the water. I need someplace with GREAT ocean since we are Scuba Divers. We will also snorkel in between so rough seas make a place less attractive.

I have heard Cayo Coco is the place to go but is this true? Any resorts to stay away from irrespective of what is on TripAdvisor? Input will be much appreciated.

  1. Hey again....I noticed your same question here...Here's my answer I provided earlier:

Cayo Coco is a beautiful place to go! It's actually one of my favourite areas in Cuba and I love going there.

You can going scuba diving and snorkelling there. The water is clean, clear and amazing!

I recommend Tryp Cayo Coco...the resort is beautiful...open, bright, breezy and the staff there are wonderful...the food is fabulous, both in the buffet restaurant, the beach grills and a la cartes. The beach all along Cayo Coco is gorgeous. The sand is soft powdery white and 3 shades of turquoise waters.

I'll send you links...and you can email me if you want.

*Edit: there are scuba diving activities, deep sea fishing, snorkelling, etc...and they can take you out further if you are interested.

btw, the Cuba section does get a lot of attention and quite a few of us are regularly on it everyday. So feel free to post your questions on Cuba if you want...you will get answered quickly.
