  1. The Eden Project.

  2. Lands End

St Ive's (have a cream tea and it has an awesome beach)

    Gweek Seal Sanctuary in Truro

    Flambards Theme park (Truro)

    St Just

  3. I had a great time at Gweek seal sanctuary so did my whole family so I second that nomination!

I also recommend Tintagel, beautiful place, we went in october and the views were stunning..its a little bit procey to go to the actual castle ruins as it is owned by the national trust, but you can see it really well from the (free to go on) opposite cliff if you don't want to spend too much to go to the actual castle...we got some great pics too thanks to digital zoom camera and camcorder equipment!

All the things I enjoyed best in Cornwall were related to nature or the outdoors, so just as much of that as possible really would be my recommendation...oh yes and the scrumpy ain't half bad either! ;)

  4. Stop when you get to DORSET. Everybody races straight through on their way to the tourist traps of Devon and Cornwall where it gets noisy, crowded and not fun at all.

Dorset has everything, cities, great beaches, lovely countryside and picture book villages untouched by time.

  5. got to be the beach first.. i live in west cornwall so i go to gwithian, marizion and newquay beaches.  if you like theme parks a visit to flambards is a must.  if you like shopping i'd choose exeter or truro or plymouth.  nights outs would be truro or helston, lots of people and great fun.

    hope this helps and enjoy!!!

  6. woolicombe and ifficombe and bidiford are fab

  7. David C...... I live in one of those picture postcard villages, and I live in Cornwall.

The village I live in inspired Kenneth Grahame to write Wind in the willows, and tales of the riverbank, and is hardly touched by tourism, because FORTUNATELY for us, most people are drawn towards the "touristy" area's like Newquay, Padstow, Lands End, Tintagel, Looe, Polperro, and have never heard of the REALLY gorgeous places like Polruan, Fowey, Lerryn. However, I do understand where you are coming from, as I read so many questions from people wanting to visit Newquay, and Perranporth, which are absolute DUMPS!!!! and are totally avoided by locals. The beaches are crowded, as are the streets, shops, and amenities, and I can't think of anything worse than spending the day on a huge crowded beach, especially when there are so many GORGEOUS hidden coves, that remain virtually untouched.

Keep your gob shut mate, and hope they all go to Newquay, and all the other popular "heaving" resorts, and we will enjoy the tranquility of our virtually untouched beautiful resorts, and we have the added bonus that we can travel down the country lanes, and get to work on time, without being caught behind a mile of "emmitts" who have their "holiday heads on" and don't seem to realise people ACTUALLY live in these places, and are trying to eke out a living, when we are stuck behind them doing 15 miles an hour down the lanes. Think about it???

If I had a quid for every holidaymaker that comes right up to my windows, and peers through them, I would be a multi millionnaire by now. Why don't people seem to realise we ACTUALLY live in these houses, and not ALL houses in holiday villages are holiday homes!!!

  8. Boscastle is the best. Trebarwith Strand is good. Must take a trip to St Ives but parking there is really difficult. Gwithian Towans (near St. Ives) and Sennen beach. Dartmoor if you feel like walking.

  9. depends what kind of things your interested in and your age, quay west is a good water park or woodlands adventure park, if you want shops try exeter or plymouth both have new shopping centres. if you want a night out torquay, newquay and exmouth are full of night clubs. also newquay is great for surfin! the eden project is something to see but bit boring looking at plants.

    hope this helps

  10. Goonhilly for adults and the eden project

    Flambards and Crealy for kids

Go to the beach and surf and eat lots of cornish pasties and cornish ice cream and devon cider.
