  1. well just go there with positive attitute because if your going on vacation all ur going to be doing is just relaxing, they have great resorts..

just have fun..search online view videos, read about them and then decide

  2. All depending where are you going ? Puerto Plata or Punta Cana ?

    Help me to help you

    El Pinguino

  3. NEVER NEVER eat yellow snow!

  4. Yes lots of advice.

Firstly if you are planning on taking excursions do it with the locals.. like people in you're hotel selling them. They'l probably be in the reception area or around the local beach - If you go with someone such as Thomsons they can be very expensive.

Im sure if you can not find locals selling excursions staff at the reception desk will help you.

Also, if shopping people beg you to go inside shops - me being me I always ended up going in 'cos I hate saying no but you need to stay out unless you want to end up wasting lots of money.

They will rarely let you out the shop without buying lol

(not every shops like this, just some)

I would recomend you go horse riding (trail blazing as they call it) there, it is honestly really good!!

We went to Rancho Lorilar in Puerto Plata and loved every moment of it - that much so we returned the day after and spent the whole day!

The cable car excursions good and visiting rum factorys/jewellery factories.

We went with a local taxi and payed around 25 dollars per person. Well worth the money.

Its all fun I promise you'l have a great time - I recomend you take pesos though or else you'l lose out big time.

By the time you've changed from pounds (if you're from england) you've been charged enough without them charging you over there aswell which they do. Not only this but it also makes things confusing because you're guarenteed to get change back in pesos regardless of whether you have given them dollars..

Finally take lots of insect repellant and don't forget you're visa money (upon entry and leave) this has to be in US dollars!

Good luck and have a great time.

I recomend Puerto Plat, RIU Mambo hotel!!

been 3 times, family of all ages, LOVED IT.

  5. Dont drink water from the sink... only bottled!

And dont eat anything that has not been boiled or cooked throught!
