  1. For eating out in avarage it costs like 10$ to 20$ max per person / day

Good meals in good restaurants / fast food restaurants

  2. the exchange rate makes everything  less expensive than anywhere in the world .

the dolloar is 5.30 Egyptian pound .

the sterling is about 10 .50 Egyptian pound

the Euro is about 8.30 Egyptian pound .

a combo in a fast food restaurant , McDonalds or Hardy's is about 25 Egyptian pounds .

a three course meal in a 5 star hotel is about 150 Egyptian pounds .

come to Egypt and eat all you like , you wont pay much .

  3. not sure but around 8 pounds

  4. Hi there, it depends on the area you are visiting. Tourist areas in Sharm are more expensive than other tourist resorts like Hurgada, El Gouna, Taba, Marsa Alam. The prices vary in order that i have printed by at least 2-8 GBP.  LE20-80

Also depends on the type of food & the restaurant. Let us know where you are visiting & I can answer your question more accurately.

  5. according to the restaurant local, chinese ,american,tailand,.....will be between 10$ to up ......

  6. You can find fabulous meals in Egypt for anywhere from $2 to $200!!!

Local restaurants are the best budget buys in Egypt.  Avoid the 5-star hotels, and do not even attempt to eat from the street stalls.

In Cairo, try Felfela, on Hoda Sharawy Street.  You can order a three course meal, soup, pasta, entree...for as little as $6.  Cross over to the area called Zamalek and find the world's BEST pizza at "Maison Thomas" an old landmark since 1921.  Ask anyone to direct you.

In Alexandria, look for the 'Taverna', opposite the main tram station....pasta, meat, fish, pizza, shwerma sandwiches...all very reasonable priced.  Also available for budgeters are the American fast food chains, McDonalds, Kentucy Fried Chicken, and even Wimpeys.

Aswan, in the south, has at least a dozen, moderately priced local restaurants all along the Corniche....try the "Aswan Moon"  built out over the Nile, and "Panorama". Nothing better than enjoying a nice meal while day-dreaming on the Nile....especially under a full moon!

Good alternative to restaurants:  go to one of the many delis or super market and pack a picnic lunch...enjoy it while sailing along the Nile in a felucca...the local sailboats. A delightfully relaxing experience.

Meals will be the LEAST expensive part of your Egypt trip...GO, EAT, ENJOY!!!!!!  AND if you fortunate enough to be invited to dinner at an Egyptian home, you will enjoy a fabulous treat!  LOL
