  1. A boat and/or water wings if you plan to go during hurricane season

  2. Its hurricane season, take water wings.

  3. Higher spf sunscreen, a travel umbrella, FL gets out of no where afternoon storms, depending on where you will be bug spray, there are a lot of bugs in the state, expecialy with the recent tropical storm there are a lot of mosquitos

  4. Definitely a Poncho, small umbrella.

It rains like crazy there and its never a light rain.

  5. I live in Central Florida and welcome!  Make sure you bring your raincoat, boots, waders, umbrella etc.

Nah, just kidding.  We have had a lot of rain lately, and after it rains here it get muggy, throwing off a lot humidity.

So bring clothes that you can "breath" in, short shorts, light tops, skirts for going out.  If you are planning on going to a beach take a light jacket cause it cools down quite a bit plus the wind coming off the ocean or gulf gets a little chilly.

Please please if you do go to a beach, DON'T get in the water even up to your knees early in the morning or late in the afternoon because that is when the sharks feed and so many people who visit get bitten!

After this last Tropical Storm a lady and her husband from NY were wading up to their knees when a fierce wave came in, knocked both of them down, he stood up and was fine, but she got washed away and drowned.  Very sad story.  Make sure to watch the weather.  We have some more storms coming across the Atlantic.  You might change you mind.  Hurricanes can be very nasty, with lots of rain and wind.

I just hate to hear stories like that.
