  1. Why don't you ask me to teach you? I can teach you french by e-mails. I would be pleased.

    I have some experience in speaking french. I spent 23 years in south of France. I taught english to a french teenage girl, so I know how to teach a foreign language. Oh, by the way, I'm almost 24.

    Grace à moi tu parleras français super bien en peu de temps!

    A bientôt

  2. i think it will take you ages to learn french so go on the net and find out how to say basic stuff like hello how r u, i need help, stuff like that lol

    other then that i think you should take photos of places you might want to visit in france and show them pictures to the french people so they can direct you, like havin a picture of a good restaurant, toilet, taxi etc. put the pics on your phone. have nice time :D x

  3. Start doing your language lessons.  Practice at least a half hour a day.  Listen to French music.  Read French things.  Join a french club.  Look up the "alliance francais" and find out where a chapter near you is.  They are around the world and have classes and social events.  Learning French will take discipline.  It is not easy - but it is worth it.  It is a beautiful language.

  4. Contact your local Alliance Francaise (like previously stated)  they have these short courses for tourists going to France.  Also, you could try getting a CD or tape and listening to it in your car or on your IPod.

  5. get yourself a short french course on cd along with a french phrase book.i went to alliance française in paris and didnt find them very good but you do pick up a bit just being out and about here.

    happy hols!!!!

  6. I would suggest you to contact the local ALLIANCE FRANCAISE and to see with them what should be the best way to learn french as quick as possible

    http://www.alliancefrancaise.com.au/

    Good luck / Bon courage !!

  7. Buy a learning CD (this is better than buying a phrase book, as you will know how phrases would sound like) and repeat the conversations over and over to yourself (you may not learn how to read fast, but at least you can recognize some words when spoken, and also try to get your way around)

    Get a French chatting partner, or get a private tutor

    Good luck

  8. learning french quickly??????? :O woooooooo thats not much possible. Instead..... try to have a person who know frnech always with u..........

    y worry about that anall??????? yor tour guide'll be knowing frech if he's a guide in france. so leave that topic :-P

  9. Some languages schools offer special courses for holiday purposes. Quick and efficient! Go beforehand to real french restaurants in your region and flirt with the charming  waiter...

  10. Any system that promotes a method for learning a language quickly is as ridicules as a "get rich quick" scheme.  The best way to learn a language is by living in a foreign country while taking language classes.  If you are a very quick learner you may be able to speak the language in 3-6 months.

    I lived in France for a year and that is what it took for me to learn the language.  And I still have a lot more to learn.

    In the mean time you can learn some useful phrases by buying and studying from a phrase book.

    The only good a tape/CD will do you is help you to pick up on the accent.

  11. Your first lesson :

    Good morning = Bonjour

    Good evening = Bonsoir

    Good night = Bonne nuit

    Please = s'il vous plait

    Thanks = Merci

    How are you = comment allez-vous ?

    bread = le pain

    wine = le vin

    water = l'eau (pronounce just o)

    cheese = le fromage

    kiss = bisou

    love = amour

    No of course, it's not enough, but it's a beginning and it's the most important words for french people ;)

  12. french for dummies on tape. good luck! Have a great time.
