  1. Are you going on an EF tour, called Paris and the Chateaux?

If so, that is the exact tour I'm going on, but we leave the 16th!

  2. Wow, that is impressive! You're going to be exhausted by the end of it. Here is a tip from a serial traveler, keep a diary so that when you sort out the photos back home you will know which is where.

Jeans are ok everywhere, you might want something lighter as well in case you have perfect weather (today it was 27 C/ 81 F in Paris) and I recommend sturdy walking shoes, you'll need them. What they ask in church is to be decently clad (no half bare backside for example) and to be quiet and respectful.

Do not sleep during the day even if you feel exhausted by the jet lag, that will only make it harder to adapt to the different time.

With the travel plan you have you won't have the time to visit anything else, I'm not sure you'll manage the trip to Brittany, the visit of St Michel and the visit of St Malo in one day. Expect a huge crowd in St Michel, it is a very popular tourist site but a very small one as well. So it is packed full.

    Have a nice trip.

  3. When I went to France in 2006 I had a great time, but I did not get to see even HALF of what you are going to see and do. I wore jeans everyday, everywhere. The one thing I was most surprised by were the people. They are not rude or uppity at all, contrary to popular belief. I took along a guidebook that translated the most popular phrases from english to french and it worked very well. If I wanted to order something, I looked it up in my little book and I tried pronouncing it first, if they looked at me funny then I pointed it out in the book. I would always smile and many times they were extremely helpful. Alot of people speak english, especially in Paris, and most of the tourism cities you are headed. You are going to have an amazing time! The culture is not much different from here. Very laid back and casual. Take the trip to the top of the Tower, I didn't because the line seemed so long, but now I regret it. Good luck, hope this helps!
