Should I visit places with historic value regarding music, arts and history, or should I spend my time getting to know the lands; ie forests, firths, plains? I'm open to anything. Thanks!

  1. wow - you want to do all that in one week ??  I'd suggest you narrow it down a bit ... most visitors do something like stay in a large city (e.g. London) and do the open top bus tour such as

then explore places in London such as the museums, churches, shows, plus some trips out of London such as

there are cheaper ways to do it by staying in a town out of London where the hotels are cheaper (e.g. Oxford, Cambridge, Hertford, or any largish town/city within 100 miles of London) and coming into London for a couple of days plus exploring the vicinity of where they're staying

you could do the same in Scotland by staying in Edinburgh and taking trips to Glasgow or Inverness

but really, do some reading on the UK, narrow it down and ask more specific questions then you'll get better answers
