Ok, so we (my daughter and I) are going to meet my mother-in-law and other family members in Macuelizo (my husband is already there), but I will also be spending a lot of time in San Pedro Sula. Just looking for suggestions as "must-haves" to take with us, as well as "must see" and "must do" things for in our spare time. We already know the language, so you don't need to tell us that. I also welcome any tips of things/places to avoid. Thanks.

  1. Hepatitis shots before you go.

  2. Avoid walking around at night, especially if alone. San Pedro Sula is not loaded with tourist activities.....But you can take day trips to nearby sites....some within 1 hour drive...the beach.....copan ruins is a couple hours....lakes...mouintains.....in San Pedro Sula they have a modern mall...is about 2 years old...many resturants that you see in the U.S. are there....some discos....have several open markets.....just keep an eye on your purse and such.....i usually visited friends there so I didn't get bored.....but if going as a tourist its not the place to go expecting alot to do.....good luck...

  3. Make sure you spend time with his family so that you can get to know them while you are down there. Take extra batteries for your camera so you can get alot of pictures as well so I can have some when you get back. Take an extra memory card as well.
