I am a Junior, and my friends and I are planing to go but I don't know the funding's. I have a job, and i wake about 200 every two weeks. Would it be enough to just put fifty of that into a separate account and let it grow until about two years out of high school?

  1. There are a lot of things you have to consider.

1.Which airline will you use? The fares differ, even among travel

       agencies.

2.When exactly are you planning to go?

3.How long will you be going for?

    4.Where will you be going?

5.Will you go on a package tour, with everything included?

6.How much travel are you going to do?

7.Where will you be staying(friend's house, business hotel, youth

hostel, capsule hotel, ryokan, upscale hotel, kokumin shokusha)?

8.Will you purchase a JR Railpass so you can travel on the

Shinkansen(bullet trains) and all local JR Rail lines and buses

        without having to pay extra?

9.How much will you be setting aside for souvenirs and sightseeing?

10.How much are you willing to pay for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

    11.Are you factoring in inflation?

In 2002, my 4 week trip cost me around $2100 CDN total.

In May 2008 for about 2 weeks I spent about $1500 CDN,

    In your case, $50 x 26 paychecks(year) = $1300 in one year.In 2 years you will have $2600 plus interest.

Based on my experience of having been there five times, I think that amount will be enough to get a good glimpse of the Japanese culture.

  2. how long are you going?

If you book a flght and hotel together on travelocity you could get like 2 weeks for 1200 or maybe cheaper

ummmm and it depends on how much shopping you will do, if you plan on staying longer than a week..you may consider staying at an apartment...like sakura house

    Idk hope that helps
