Going to Kingston?!!!?

im thinkin about taking a trip to kingston all by myself. is that a good idea for a 25 year old.

If you are going on vacation, skip it, especially if you are female.  There really aren't that many touristy spots in the Kingston area.  If it's for business, you have to go but just be street smart and away from the slums.  Unless you have a spacific purpose for visiting Kingston, you'd be better off on the north or west coast.

not a good idea at all. unless you know someone there to help you. kingston can be an extremely dangerous place to be.

Yes it is!!!!. I am when i was 25 i lived in kingston ALL BY MYSELF.  I still do.  No one will bother u.

So long as you have ordinary Jamaican street sense, you should be fine.

Kingston, New York or Kingston, New Jersey?  Either one is quite safe and quaint

it depends on where you are leaving from,  If you are leaving from rural jamaica then its ok.......  If you are a foreign national with a distinguishing accent, its better to befriend a native/local to help u get around...

I've heard mix about Kingston.

Downtown is not a place to be for many people.

So from what I understand from my husband(jamamican) stay uptown.

If you know anybody in downtown, i woudl suggest calling them before you get there and have them meet you somewhere.
