  1. Book a tour of goodison park, then go back home.

  2. It depends what you enjoy.

Try Speke Hall a Tudor House near to the airport, always great to visit especially if the weather is nice. Take a trip to the top of the Anglican cathedral again if the weather is good. St Georges Hall now has a visitors centre with guided tours. Try the cafes around Hope St for a relaxing few hours. The pier head is a building site at the moment, but if you can get into the Cunard building or the Mersey Docks and Harbour company building they are fabulous. The Town Hall has public openings during the summer and the Community historian, Steve Binns gives fantastic tours despite being blind.

The Liverpool Biennial will be on in the summer as well as the finish of the clipper round the world race and the start of the Tall ships race both in July.

  3. Try a guided tour down the Manchester to Liverpool ship canal. I'm doing it is July.

  4. try this site

  5. Oooh, you've been to the docks? well you've seen the best of liverpool already then, apart from goodison park obviously, lol.

  6. Forget the Beatles rubbish!

As Neil said above, there are countless things to see and do in Liverpool any year, but there’s a bit more going on in 2008.

The free attractions alone could keep you busy for a month: the numerous art galleries, museums, historic buildings, etc.

Then there’re also the pubs, concert halls, theatres, and all these, like the ones above, are always there.

Specials for 2008 (European Capital of Culture) include the first ever comprehensive exhibition of Gustav Klimt’s work in this country at the Tate Gallery from 30th May to 31st August (but the tickets are £8).  Rodin's famous 'The Kiss' is available (like most of the Tate Gallery) free of charge.

Another special for 2008 was the vandalism of the Bluecoat Chambers!
