hey everybody, my mum is going to London on Monday because she has an audition for a tv show. she does not want to go on her own because shes not used to London and stuff so she wants me to go with her. its at the BBC Center in Shepard's bush. but the thing is i am 15 and she is going to be in the audition for about 2 hours. so i will have to just sit and be bored for 2 hours in the BBC centre, but i was wondering does anyone know what i could do to entertain myself. do you think the receptionsist or whatever would say like oh would you like a tour or something like that!!! LOL. i am into radio and tv and would like to be a radio/tv presenter. do you think they would let me have a look round!!!!

Cheers

  1. Make sure you take plenty of reading material with you, and a camera!!  There will be a few famous faces popping in and out, especially if you're going to be there for a couple of hours.

They actually do tours at the studios, but you have to book in advance.

Have a look on the website:

    http://www.information-britain.co.uk/sho...

    or

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/tours/bh.shtml#abou...

This lists the price of the tour, how to call, etc.

    Have a great day!

  2. on my school trip to london we got a tour of the studios.

we had to pay extra if we wanted to do it so you would have to pay.

i wouldnt think you would get a tour but as you said you could ask.

  3. Why don't you buy a couple of magazines before you go in? They might have things there to keep guests occupied.. you might be lucky and get a tour but I wouldn't count on it!

Take in some music and something to read, the time will fly by I promise you. Good luck to your mum as well!

  4. ring them up and ask, don't leave it till you get there. Plus there isn't a great deal in the area as i recall, so perhaps call them and see

  5. There is a BBC TV Centre Tour but it costs £7 for students and under 16s - oops.  You'll probably have to book in advance - see link below.

If you've got 2 hours to spare and they'll let you leave the BBC TV Centre and return in say an hour and a half, you might just consider taking a look round Shepherds Bush.
