Going to Mexico,but passaport not valid?

Hello I was trying to go to mexico this weekend,but my passport expired,when or has the new law that states that... we can only cross the border we passport,has that taken affect yet???

Don't even worry about it. I know an awesome coyote who will do it for cheap incase they don't let you come bk.

If you are FLYING to Mexico, you must have a passport.  That has been the aw since Jan. 2007.  If you are travelling by LAND, you do not need a passport.  You do need a photo I.D. and proof of citizenship...EITHER a passport OR a birth certificate.  See site below and read carefully.  In summer 2009, the passport requirement for LAND travel will probably be implemented.
