  1. Casa Greque

    200 Prince Arthur E & St. Dominique

Very Very good Greek/Canadian and some sea food inexpensive big portions and you can bring your own win or beer!!

  2. Dunns or any of the other Smoked Meat places, McDonald on Ste Catherine, Nickels, there are some nice chinese places.

Check the in room toursit handbook or check out the CityPagers at YellowPages.ca, Montreal like Toronto has hundreds of places and diverse ethnic choices.

  3. Mr Steerburger at St Catherine and Peel is inexpensive and has the best skinny fries (frites) I've had anywhere in the world.

This restaurant guide lists virtually every restaurant in the city (some are not in the downtown area, though).

  4. Dunn's Deli on St Catherine street in downtown Montreal.  St. Hurbert BBQ found most everywhere in the city and for Chinese food, Chez Wong.  You can't go wrong with any of these establishments.

  6. Tutti Frutti (4024 Ste-Catherine W. ) on Ste Cat's, west of Atwater, is a great breakfast place.

There's, a tiny one-off, family-owned diner on Lambert-Closse, near AMC, also very good, but I can't remember what it's called.

If you're willing to venture a little out of downtown, Santropol is has great foods and ambience at a reasonable price. It's located on St Urbain, at the corner of Duluth.

If you like Thai food, there's Bangkok Cuisine in Les Faubourgs Ste Catherine (1616 Ste Catherine West). It's technically fast-food Thai, but it's consistently rated as the best, most authentic Thai food in Montreal.

If you're talking dirty, cheap, there's Soup and Noodles (1871 Ste-Catherine W)and a plethora of other cheap Asian food places on Ste Catherine, east of Atwater.

Boustan at 2020 Crescent street is supposed to be good.

Amir is reasonably good, and they have awesome garlic potatos. They're all over the place. Easy to find.

    ugh. i'm so hungry.
