What is the weather there right now. The internet says scattered rain/thunderstorms, but what is it really like? Any floods? Can i still take my son to Disney world?

  1. Fay has left the area and so it should be pretty decent.  There might be some showers but I don't forsee anything major.  It should be safe to take the kids out.

  2. Ok I may be at the other side of the world but I can tell you that sure the outdoor rides will be effected by rain but the indoor rides will not. The shows (indoor) might be busier from people trying to get out of the rain but you should be fine. Buy a poncho in walmart (cheaper than disney) and brave the rain!

    Have a fun trip!

  3. I live less than 10 minutes from Epcot. The storm in Orlando has just been 20 mph winds and rain. There hasn't been any flooding or wind damage in this area. Disney, SeaWorld and Universal have been open regular business hours every day and I'm sure they have no plans to change that just because of a little rain.

Local weather says this storm should be past us by tomorrow with a little luck but more likely Sunday. You shouldn't have anything to worry about with Fay besides some rain.

Welcome to Orlando and enjoy your stay!

  4. live in palm beach county it's about 2 hours from orlando but i've lived in fl my whole life and e my family vacationed all the time in orlando.........there is probably minor flooding because the stormed is moving so slowly.......it's going to be windy and rainy and trust me disney is not much fun in the rain.......i would go to disney in a few days depending on how long you are in the "sunshine" state.......there are other things to do inside i don't know how old your son is but disney quest which is full of fun interactive disney games........also orlando is full of fun dinner shows midevil times is great for kids also you can go to one of the disney resorts and go to a character breakfast.......orlando is full of fun stuff to do when it rains......i think if you are coming next week or in three or four days disney should be fine but if you are coming tomorrow it will be raining........i hope this helps.......have fun!!
