Going to Panama City Beach for spring break - any good tips?

If you plan to go in the water, wear a wetsuit, cuz the water is freezing there!  Better to go to Ft. Lauderdale - the water is 10 degrees warmer, and the motels are a bit cheaper.  Panama City is surrounded with rednecks and army bases and stuff.  Whatever; have fun! :)

If you arent 21 be careful if using a fake ID at the bars...they really crack down on fakes during Spring Break. The best place to stay is Sandpiper Cove...it is really cheap & a 24/7 party. They have a great pool w/ a lazy river & all you can drink "Beach parties" everyday.

Make sure you check out Club La Vela & Sharky's they are great!

The Chateau hotel is the busiest hotel with lots of drinking and is always busy. It's one of the cheapest too! But the best place to stay on the strip is probably Holiday Inn sunspree. That's where the strip stays bumper to bumper and you can hitch rides up and down the beach. Oh, and it's in the middle of most of the clubs.
