  1. I have been to Paris three times.

The area to stay in that saves the most money is down in the red light district. Same area as Moulin Rouge.

My hotel was 2 blocks down and across the street from the Moulin Rouge.

The area wasn't nasty or anything....it's just not upscale.

The rooms were clean too.  You can get a room that has it's own bathroom or you can get one where the whole floor shares it.

Another area for saving is private bed and breakfasts. I'm not sure how to find those.  Sorry.

I had a few friends stay at one and they said they loved it.  In the evening they actually ate with the family.

If you go to the travel office they usually have flyers or the information you are looking for.

  2. stay on cheap one that's all i can say man

  3. if you speak reasonable french, check craigslist.com. there are listings in paris for people who want to rent out flats for a week. i think some of the listings might be in english too.

  4. I can personally recommend staying here,
