  1. 1) Usual tourist stuff: the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the centre Pompidou, the Champs-elysées, the Ile Saint Louis, Notre Dame, the Sainte chapelle, The Père Lachaise...

    2) You can shop at the grands magasins: Le Bon Marché, Les galeries Lafayette, Le Printemps. There are also nice shops in the rue saint honoré, arounf the place vendome.

To dine: I recommend Kong 1 rue du pont neuf. you also should have lunch at Ladurée and buy their macarons. You can dine at Fouquet's on the Champs Elysées.

    3) You can take the RER B from the airport to Chatelet, then take the subway n°1 to La Défense and out at 'musée du louvre'. To avoid the queue at the museum, buy your ticket at the bar-tabac inside the Caroussel du louvre, the shopping centre connected to the Louvre and enter the museum from the shopping centre (it's where there are the two pyramids mentioned in the da vinci code)

  2. A Latin Quarter/St-Germain walk at night is beautiful and romantic.

  3. If you are in Paris you just have to visit Lido and Moulin Rouge - cabaret.

  4. 1) Your should certainly see all the standard tourist sights which would include the Eiffel tower, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, Saint Chapelle, Musee D'Orsay, the Centre Pompidou, Place des Vosges, the Tuilleries Gardens, the Opera Garnier, the Conciergerie, the Place de la Concord, the Palais royal, the Grand and Petit Palais, the Madelaine, the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Pantheon.

    2) Where to shop and dine depends a great deal on your budget. If you can afford a meal at one of the great palace of gastronomy like La Tour d'Agent or shop at the House of Dior then give it whirl.

    3) Yes you can go from the airport to the Louvre by public transport.
