Going to Puerto Rico tmw, should I reserve the car in US?

should I reserve the car in US or it's ok to get one while i am at the SJU airport? will it be cheaper if I reserve it here? heard that it's around US$30 per day if I get it while I am at the airport, right?

If you rent else where the prices are $45.00 or higher.

Reserve the car when you land in puerto rico and far as possible from the airport you can take the bus shuttle to the car rental it is a long , long wait at the airport, and bags tend to get lost there before your eyes,

do not accept rides from any non medallion taxi's they will rob your items and over charge you.

It is a small Island but many people from other places living there.

Best place I rented was in bayamon great service. But you can set aside a type of car you would like to rent.

It doesnt really matter. You wont get your information stolen or anything by doing it over there but by doing it before you travel you are more sure of your car & that it is available for rent. Trust me, ive done it.

I would reserve a car ahead of time (while still in the US).  That way you won't have surprises.  If you reserve the car you want, then you won't be stuck renting whatever expensive thing they have available.

It would be most convenient to rent a car in the airport area.  You will need to do some research to get the best deal- we have all the major one (Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, Budget etc)  plus look into Charlie's Car rental for a local one.  

You should be able to get a compact car for about $30/d or less for the week.   They have age requirements for drivers, so check that out if you are young.

I rented mine in Caguas, and it was a breeze, get extra collision insurance.

It is smarter to reserve in the US as you are more sure of the car. Make sure whoever you reserve with is trusted and that you canget your money back, should anything go wrong.
