  1. Well you can go to Barcelona and go to the Fallas to Valencia, Barcelona is more near from Valencia than Madrid.

I like more Madrid, but it´s my town and don´t have beach.

  2. Depending on how long your flight is, and what kind of stamina you have, I would spend, probably, two or three days in Madrid, leave at the crack of dawn (buy your tix in advance) on the AVE for Sevilla, three full days there, and maybe a day for Córdoba, two for travel and sightseeing in Granada, (or you might skip Granada, but I would DEFINITELY recommend it), then on to Valencia, and back to Madrid.  Two days is plenty for travel and all you want to do in Valencia.  Skip Barcelona.  You can take another ten days for Barça and Catalunya on another trip.

If you want details on what to DO in each place, email me.  Or you could get the DK Eyewitness book on Spain.  Beautiful book, lots of great info, and super photos and diagrams.
