Going to Taveira in Algarve soon. Where can I hire a car from? Can I cross the border into Spain too?

Assuming you are flying to Faro, there are plenty of hire car companies at the airport.  Best to book in advance - try holidayautos.co.uk.  You should be able to drive into Spain as both are in the EU but you should check with the hire company if you need to upgrade the insurance
