Going to Ulm Germany for 3 months for the first time, Any tips of any kind?

Hi,

Ulm is a fantastic place to be. The city is very small (around 200 000), but this makes it even easier to get around.

From the famous Ulmer Muenster, church you can easily get to any place. Going up the muenster is mandatory for a great scenic view. But beware, its almost 1000 steps!!! No lift!!!

The Danube river is beautiful and in summer there's a competition held "Nabada", where people go in any kind of crazy boatlike thing cruising along the Danube (or falling inside).

There are many and many of good restaurants and small wine bars. Don't miss the old city with its picturesque middle-aged houses.

And shopping is also quite good. When you are fed up with Ulm, make some weekend trips to Stuttgart, Augsburg or Munich, all within 1 hour travel.

The link below is the best site I have found for Ulm info. It is in english and it has a bunch of tourist info (sites, dining, things to do and see, etc) and it has some pretty good pics too. Have a fun trip!

I like to go to Ulm because they have a huge IKEA store there.
