Going to Vietnam...?

Is it possible to bring electronics from the US and use it in Vietnam, say in Saigon. For example can i bring my laptop and iPod and plug it in to an output in VN, and will it work? So basically everything I have in the US, will I be able to use it in saigon, Vn. any help is appreciated.

  1. NO. The voltage in VN is 220V (same as EU). You can use the laptop only because the voltage in laptop is 110V to 220V. Other electronics, you need to have voltage convert to convert 220V to 110V to fit your electronics devise. You can buy it in VN and cheap.

KP is dead right..To  answere your second  question..You  can not  use your  Verizon phone in VN..VN use  GSM 900 frequency..If you  want to use a cell phone in VN, make sure you have a  unlock GSM phone that use  sim card..example   AT&T or T-Mobile..Once you have  a unlock  GSM phone,  you can buy a  Viettel or Mobi sim just  about anywhere that  sell celluar  phone...and don't forget to  phone home (*_*)

  3. There is no problem at all, I don't know if the US plugs are the same as in Europe, bu in Vietnam the plugs are he same as in Europe. You can always buy an adaptor, anyway, hotels nearly always have international plugs which suits all different types of plugs
