Going to a 4 year college with a bad transcript

During my high years i ve done pretty bad. with a 2.4 gpa avg i dont think i can go to a 4 year college. if i work my *** off in a community college is it possible for me to transfer to a 4 year college??

  1. i am actually a transfer student from community college who is planning to transfer to a four year univ next spring. Going to community college for your general studies is really in your advantage. tuition is much affordable and because the classes are not big you can communicate  easily with your proffessors. its a win win :). HOWEVER, make sure to take the right classes and talk not only to the community college counselors but also with the university you are planning to transfer!

    AND! dont forget to ask if your community college have somekind of agreement with the university.. this will make tha transfer process much easier.. and remember that just because others got accepted to a 4 year college right after high school does not mean that you are behind.. Actually It is pretty much the same. you are just doing the same amount of credits for your generals for a more reasonable price!


  2. Take your SAT's and get some good scores and ace some classes in community college. You may be able to transfer after a year or so.

  3. Depends on what state you are in, but where I live, I knew people in my class who went to the state school with barely above a 2.0.
