Going to a new school next year! PLZ HELP!?

ok...so im going to a new high school next year because im moving and my cousin goes to that school but the will be a senior and i will be a sophmore. I know i will eventually make friends but im worried that like on the first days of school imma be sitting at lunch by myself! Hopefully i have the same lunch with my cousin, but if i dont what should i do. (i dont want to be all alone!) PLZ give me some tips on moving to a new school and makeing new friends because the only time i have moved was in like 4-5th grade and we had to sit together at lunch then...but anyways please help me!

the first day at any school new or old getting butterflies is natural. i always tell my son (who usually everyone loves) to relax and be himself. people admire that confidence and want to be your friend...from the first morning usually you will get one person who offers to sit with you or show you around. just be nice and you will find who you most have things in common with and want to be around. just take it slow becareful who you make friends with in a new school because everyone is not good people these days.

see who ur cousin's friends are and get her to introduce you to some people.. and try to click with her friends for the first couple of days.. then they'll introduce you to more and more people and you'll be fine.. be personable so people will want to know more about you

New high school- there will be loads of new kids. They might do a homeroom introduction thing, so you'll meet people then. Just act yourself but don't be shy. Don't look down, smile at people and look them in the eyes etc.

Wear nice clothes not some ugly sweat suit thing, because people DO judge on appearances- and are attracted by appearances. (ie, other goths are attracted to goths)

i moved from one school to another between my sophmore and junior year and i just tried to be as open as possible to meet new and different people. the more open you are to new personalities and settings, the more people can relate to you and bond with you. making friends should be easy after that.

I would just be friendly with the kids and find out if any of them are new too.  Talk to everyone!!!  (Just dont over-due it!:)
