  1. i'm not thinking it's a particularly good idea.

of course, does it go up hill?

    down hill?

do you climb down into it?

    do bats roost there?

do some of them have rabies?

    you should expect rats.

there's nothing in what you've said that would indicate that it's a good idea.

  2. There can be decomposing material giving off methane in a storm drain. there can be radon gas in any depression in the earth. Sometimes  you may encounter gasoline or diesel.

But the big risk in going into a storm drain is a storm... a large volume of water coming down the drain, and of course it may trap you against an exit grate, put in there to prevent animals entering from the bottom.

Beside being sure there will be no storm water, you may want SCUBA gear to deal with methane or radon. SCUBA gear can allow you to deal with storm water.

Water in a storm drain during a storm can be very muddy, easy to lose your way. Plan for a recovery team, but discuss how you will find your way out in murky water.

  3. dont worry about it ive been there rolled in on a skate boards with freinds nothing but a lot of roaches and good fun
