Going to all inclusive resort in Dom. Rep. in 3 days. Looking for tips!?

Question

-who all should we tip out of courtesy at the resort?

-We need to get to the Detroit airport 2 hours ahead of time for domestic flight and 3 hours ahead for international flight. Our layover is in Atlanta so do we get there 2 or 3 hours ahead?

I would tip each person who you ask to help you with your bags at the airport ( a few dollars per bag), and at check-in ($5 USD) at the resort. Also, a tip ($3-$5 USD) every day for the maid (you might get a different maid each day based on resort schedule) and definitely your bar tender ($1 USD) each drink, but then again, that is just me. Some tip more, some tip less, while others tip at the very end. Bottom line is if you like the service and you have extra money to spend, and you like to show your appreciation for good service, then leave a tip.

Note: To make life easier for you, you may want to bring $100 worth of singles or $50 in five dollar bills and the rest in singles.

As for the check-in at ATL, I would be at the gate 1.5 - 2 hours in advance. Better to be safe, then sorry.

My suggestion is basic : Enjoy it! - Discover this beautiful country, don't stay inside the hotel, go and do what you like to do, witch is to discover new things.
