Going to be stuck outside all day; what should I bring to eat?

We are attending a concert on Friday. My fanatical friend is insisting that we wait outside there all day to ensure that we are first in line, and as such, I'm going to be stuck sitting on the sidewalk for about eight hours in the sun.

Naturally, I'm going to get hungry, but I want to pick foods that I will keep well in my bag for several hours, that will refresh me in the heat, not make me sick, et cetera. It has to be disposable, of course.

What do you recommend I bring to eat?

  1. Fried Chicken and bread.

  2. I would say bring some chips or crackers..or maybe fruit snacks and to keep you hydrated Gatorade or Powerade..or Water of course.

  3. Peanut butter sandwich or two, couple of bananas, some crackers, and a bottle of water.

You may consider freezing some water into a block of ice in a small mug or something, throwing it in a seal-able plastic bag, and then sticking it with the bag your food is in. That way the food you bring can stay, at least, halfway cool.

  4. A foot long Italian Sub sandwich with capacola, salami, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion...No mayo!  Italian dressing.
