  1. Like any other job - show up on time.  Be polite, courteous, learn lots, be well groomed.  Oh, and never comment on people's swings, golf etiquette, etc.

  2. Study the scorecard of the course for about a half hour and try to remember what the par is for each hole.  Also learn where the holes are at.  I have been working at a golf course for 5 years and these are the questions I get asked most often.  When there is not a rush, ask someone how they played.  If they say they took a 4 on whatever hole, you can strike up a conversation and know if they birdied, parred, or bogeyed the hole.  This is a good way to make tips.

  3. you need to get knowing more about golf related information to show up you are interesting in this field of work.

refer the following book may give you more idea....

    God bless you!

  4. Just have fun.. i work at a resort golf course and it is really not that hard. just know where everything is so you can help people when they have questions and you should probably learn a little about the game just so you can know what people are talking about when they talk to you.
