  1. dont be nervous, the first day usually isnt too much dancing anyway. i was in dance for most of my life (im 15 now) and its a ton of fun, youre going to love it. ok if you dont have shoes, just wear running shoes and you'll probably end up dancing in ur socks, ive done it and it's easy. just put ur hair in a pony, you'll be fine. and expect a lot of explaining and just some basic stuff they'll go over. the first day is going to be easy. dont worry about it

  2. 1. dont wear sandals! and tennis shoes are not good for ballet. you could ask if they sell shoes there, or you could look around your town and see if they sell any ballet slippers anywhere. they aren't too expensive and shouldnt be too hard to find. they are just like a piece of cloth sith some padding on the bottom so you can turn.

2.i would put your hair in a bun, just put it in a ponytail, it doesnt really matter where on your head, it can be high or low, and just twist it around and pin it up with some bobby pins. you can also put a hairnet around it if you like.

3.well if its your first class and its a beginner class they'll probably teach you the five ballet positions, a few simple moves like tondue and plea. just relax.

PS wear some tights and a leotard too. and don't feel bad if the other people are ahead of you if they've taken ballet before. you'll get better with practice.

  3. 1. You need to wear ballet shoes. Go to a local dance store to get some.

    2. Put it up. If not in a bun, at least a ponytail.

    3. Ballet is hard, but if you like stuff like that, it's worth it. You'll do simple stuff because i'm assuming it's a beginner's class.

  4. but your best foot forward

  5. ballet will require special dance shoes. Either leather or canvas. Your local dance store should carry them.

If you can't get to a shop by tomorrow....the dance instructor may have some extras or allow you to wear socks for the first time. I can't say for sure though.

your hair should be secured in a bun...that's what most dance studios require.

expect to work hard and learn lots of new dance steps.

also do you have a ballet leotard? If not..you may want to consider purchasing one.

  6. ii USED TO BE iN A BALLET CLASS WHEN ii WUZ YUNGER BUT YOU SHOULD PUT YOUR HAiR UP, AND USUALLY THEY SHOULD GiVE BALLET SHOES.  BUT iDK DONT WEAR SANDALS, OR MAYBE THEY WiLL HAVE YOU TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF. JUST HAVE FUN.

  7. Good questions- i remember thinking the same don't worry

    1.  If you don't have any ballet shoes, make sure you purchase some. As for the first day I think they will understand. I would wear nothing just your bare feet. Definitely don't wear running shoes.

    2. Wear your hair up for sure.  If you have bangs, pin them back with some bobbie pins.  My hair gets in my face in dance class all the time and I hate it.  I would recommend a bun so when you turn your ponytail doesnt hit you in the face.

    3. Make sure you are prepared for anything. You may have a hard workout and get really sweaty so make sure you wear something comfortable.  Oh and always make sure you bring enough water.

    Hope you have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good luck!

    Don't Be Nervous!! Relax.
