  1. I increased my RAM with the help of  www.crucial.com.

Go to the site - They scan your computer and tell you what your current memory is and how much more you can add and what type you need.  You can then purchase it directly through Crucial.

    1GB was about $60.00.

I'm glad I did as Crucial has high marks for quality on various IT sites.

    Good luck!

  2. If your motherboard have two or more RAM slots, buy 1GB DDR2 RAM. If only 1 RAM slot available, buy 2GB DDR2.

Choose brand which same with old RAM.

  3. type of RAM you require is DDR2 SO-DIMM 533 memory

If you are dealing with a laptop, the motherboard is purpose built for that specific laptop.

    Corsair memory is fantastic :)

  4. go to crucial.com, and run they're scan. As for a brand, try OCZ or Corsair.
