Question:

Going to buy a Plasma TV--no VGA input but HDMI inputs. I have a video card that will output to HDMI...?

but is a VGA picture that much clearer than if i use the HDMI input? Or are they the same (or about the same)? Thanks.

  1. HDMI is much better, and can be used with a DVI output via a simple adapter. HDMI is an all-digital signal, whereas VGA is an analog signal. VGA is better than composite or component, but for real HD, you should do HDMI. Also, an LCD might be better than Plasma, but that's not your question.


  2. VGA is the older type of out put while HDMI is the newer.

    If you decide to go HDMI you will not have to run a speaker to your TV. Plasma TVs are not that great for computers because of the burn in affect. For computers the best way to go is to go LCD.

  3. Dont buy plasma, everyone I know has one says they are c**p.
