Going to chile soon, could you recommend a nice hostel there?

There are plenty around Providencia (and cheap too!) Try Tempo Rent apart hotel, Los Conquistadores, Los Nogales. Providencia is a good area to stay, you have plenty of things at walking distance. Go and check more hostels and hotels in Trip Advisor, that's the best site. (www.tripadvisor.com)

I live in Santiago, Chile. There are plenty of hostels here, but not all the areas are the best place to stay. Providencia, Las Condes, Centro and Bella Vista or Bellas Artes would be the best places to look for something.

Las Condes and Providencia are the "upper class" part of the city, Centro is in general less expensive but close to everything and Bella Vista and Bella Artes offer a super cultural experience. It's the "artsy" part of town and attracts a younger crowd.

If you are going to Viña del Mar also, don't miss seeing Valparaiso as well, they're right next to each other but very different in character. Viña has a more modern look and Valparaiso has a very distinct personality and charm of its own. Lots of great seafood restaurants too!
