Going to college, emotions?

One of my really good friends' sister is going to college and she is really upset about it.

What is the best thing I can say to her to help her feel better?

Well college students are more mature than grade school students and there is really no bullying at college, or there shouldn't be. And you get plenty of vacations/off days in college.

Just to tell her to remember that college students DO have holidays.

She wont be gone forever so she hasnt lost her sister!

she will always come back and visit im sure.

And its always nicer to spend time with some one when you havent seen them for a while! = ]

The first day of college for her will be the first day of college for a ton of other kids too!!  Probably all the first year students feel nervous about it.  But after the first couple of days or so, she will fall into the routine of it just like when she was in high school.  If the school is close by to her, she should visit the campus a few times before the first day to really get acquainted with the college and where everything is, if they allow that.
