Books will be $800 and my nursing scrub uniform tops $80...then I have to purchase pants from where ever. I do not have this money! Where can I get it? Are there additional grants and such I can apply for? I am a married mom of 2 and will most likely be quitting my job 2 months into schooling (when our lease is up and we can move into cheaper housing). My husband and I have bad credit so no personal loans for us. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Have your husband get a second job.

  2. Apply for FAFSA- if not federal aid, then you will be eligible for low-cost federal loans (no credit check):  http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

If you are already doing federal loans and need more, ask your school if they have any university loans to make up the gap:

If this does not work, search:  peer to peer college loans.  These are low cost loans which are put up by ordinary people for college students.  Some are underwritten, some aren't.

Finally, if you get your nursing degree and meet these requirements, you can get your loans canceled:  http://bhpr.hrsa.gov/nursing/loanrepay.h...
